Organic Grass-fed Beef Cheesesteak

We know you missed us, so we made organic grass-fed beef cheesesteak!

Our cheesesteak is made with organic, grass-fed, top round beef roast from Nectar Hills Farm. It comes with peppers,* local onions, fresh mozzarella and Palatine provolone cheese, and it’s on a Heidelberg baguette.

Also on the Good to Go takeout menu, we have the chicken or beef (same top round roast as the cheesesteak) burritos. This week’s bone broth is organic, free-range chicken.  And we have a fresh batch of vegan minestrone, to which you can add Italian cheese and/or free-range chicken.*

We will be open for the next seven days (noon to 7 pm), until Wednesday, May 10, at which point we’ll be back on our regular schedule of closing Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Good to Go Farm-to-Counter is a multi-member LLC. Equity shares are still available: you can own 0.1% of the LLC for $100. Good to Go wouldn’t exist without our local investors, especially those who crowdfunded our little takeout restaurant when it was just a dream. Navy Beans and Southern-style Cornbread

Our vegetarian navy beans and southern-style cornbread are perfect for meatless Monday and for ribs that need something to stick to them.

If you need some meat to stick to your ribs, you can add Binghamton-made Lupo Italian chicken sausage. We also have some very rib-sticky mac and cheese.

Baked Mac and Cheese: Veggie radiatori pasta,* local veggies, and homemade Palatine muenster and New York cheddar cheese sauce, with grass-fed beef chorizo.

We have a new grass-fed beef bone broth made from Hu-Hill Farm grass-fed beef bones. It is astoundingly creamy and rich. Fans of our bone are going to want to try this one!

The New York Times Discovers Bone Broth

The New York Times has discovered the wonders of bone broth, which is taking Manhattan restaurants by storm.

Here at Good to Go, we say, welcome to the party! Robin discovered bone broth years ago, when our friend Sonia Sola of Nectar Hills Farm told Robin to watch a scientist’s video about it on You Tube (there are many you can easily find with a search).

From the NY Times article:

“When you talk to chefs about this, everyone’s head is exploding,” said the chef Marco Canora, who has just opened Brodo, a storefront window in the East Village attached to his restaurant, Hearth, where three different flavorful broths are dispensed in paper cups. Like an espresso drink, the broths at Brodo can be customized, with add-ins like grated fresh turmeric, house-made chile oil and bone marrow from grass-fed cattle, which transforms plainly delicious broth into a richly satisfying snack.

Robin’s specialty is beef bone broth made with organic, grass-fed beef or lamb. It’s much more than just boiled bones. She has perfected an entire process that results in a creamy, meaty, delicious broth into which she can add the vegetables, mushrooms, or eggs of your choice!

How cool is that? Order a cup of bone broth and drink it while you stand at our little counter–or, the “bone broth bar.”

And, of course, we can put it in a to-go cup! Now that’s Good to Go!
