Texas-style Chili

Our Texas-style chili is back (by popular demand) on the Good to Go takeout menu!

You can have our family’s generations-in-development recipe for Texas-style (no beans) chili three ways: in a bowl topped with fixings, on a hot dog top with fixings, or on a baked potato topped with fixings. Basically, everything is topped with fixings.

Texas-style Chili 
Our no-bean chili is made with all-grass-fed beef from Larry’s Custom Meats in Hartwick. Comes with homemade, southern-style, jalapeno cornbread.*

Our hours are noon to 7 pm, Friday through Tuesday, closed Wednesday and Thursday.

We have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, like our vegan minestrone soup and our gluten-free muffin bars. We can make any kind of order for your special occasions if given enough lead time.

Organic Grass-fed Beef Hot Dogs

We’re back, and we have organic, grass-fed beef hot dogs on Heidelberg buns, with house pickles and kale slaw.

The Good to Go takeout menu is swollen with great food to go, like our Muffuletta.

Pellegrino Blood Orange Floats are made with Pellegrino blood orange sodas and local, award-winning, Stewart’s Philly Vanilla ice cream (same as we use in our milkshakes).

Paleo Bread (Not for the Diverticulitis Crowd): Sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and flax seeds, walnuts, and almonds. Bound by mere eggs and olive oil. Comes with cream cheese or melted swiss.

Local Lamb Sausage and Escarole on Orzo with Local Morel Mushrooms

We have a gourmet lamb sausage from Bach Farms in Mohawk, mixed with garlic-and-shallot-sauteed escarole and locally foraged morel mushrooms, on a bed of orzo pasta,* topped with Italian cheeses. See the Good to Go takeout menu for our entire selection of local and organic to-go food.

We also have one of our most popular meals, the New York cheesesteak, featuring roast beef from Silverpoint Farm and Nectar Hills Farm, peppers,* NY onions, and Palatine provolone cheese, on a Heidelberg baguette.

Saturday’s are the best day to buy our all-organic biscotti cookies, which you can also find at the Nectar Hills Farm booth at the Cooperstown Farmer’s Market every Saturday.

Vegetarian Enchiladas for Cinco de Mayo

We have vegetarian enchiladas on the takeout menu for Cinco de Mayo and even for Seis de Mayo if we don’t sell out today!

Vegetarian Enchiladas: 
Blue corn* tortillas filled with many local and organic veggies, Monterey Jack cheese, fresh house enchilada sauce, topped with regional sour cream and guacamole, on a bed of lettuce. Add free-range chicken* or grass-fed beef* chorizo from Nectar Hills Farm.

If you’re a fan of our burritos, they’re great for Cinco de Mayo as well, either vegetarian, chicken,* or grass-fed beef. And if Mexican food isn’t your thing, we have our famous New York cheesesteak!

Macanese Minchi

Macanese Minchi is a popular street food from the former Portuguese territory of Macau, near Hong Kong, and we have a Nectar Hills Farm grass-fed beef chorizo and ground goat version on the Good to Go takeout menu this week.

 

Macanese Minchi
Mixed grass-fed beef* chorizo, ground grass-fed goat,* fried potato,* topped with a braised Hidden Camp Farm egg* and a cucumber/cilantro/carrot* salad. Medium spicy (can be made spicier).

The Minchi is labor intensive, so, as usual, call ahead to give us time. We’ll be doing less of these types of menu items as summer approaches, so get in on these delicious treats while the getting is good (to go).

We’re going to continue to keep the grass-fed beef and organic chicken burritos on the menu for now as well. And we have all the regular items you’re all used to, like the Doctor’s Order sandwich, and of course the fabulous bone broth.

Mongolian Beef Bowl

Grass-fed beef chuck from Silverpoint Farm has grazed its way onto the Good to Go takeout menu this week, in the form of a Mongolian beef bowl that you can get mild or spicy.

We also have our baked mac and cheese, beef or chicken burritos, and the bone broth is beef, from 100% grass-fed beef from Hu-Hill Farm and Nectar Hill Farm.
