Good to Go is finally going! As you can see from the new link at the top of the page, we have a takeout menu now! Check it out here, or download the PDF version of the Good to Go Takeout Menu for printing.
Remember, the menu does change regularly, so be sure to check the board when you come in for specials and changes.
If all goes well, our organic and local takeout food restaurant will be open next week, in historic Cherry Valley New York, between Cooperstown and Sharon Springs.
We’re putting the finishing touches on everything now (although we will probably never actually be finished) and plan to open next week–gradually–starting Monday, August 8th.
We’ll have meatball subs made with organic, local, grass-fed, wagyu beef from Nectar Hills Farm, organic grass-fed beef bone broth (from the same young bull of wagyu beef), roast organic free-range chicken, organic & local garlic greens, organic pasta and grains, organic & fair trade coffee and tea, organic lavender lemonade, and other assorted organic and local treats.
We’ll post our full takeout food menu as soon as we finalize it.
Organic and Local Takeout Food Doesn’t Happen By Magic
Thanks to our graphic designer Harriet Spear for the wonderful window sign, stickers, business cards, and all our other graphics. Thanks to photographer Mark Reinertson for his photograph of Nectar Hills Farm which now graces our front window and the top of this site. Thanks also to Derrick Marshfield for being a great all around handyman and construction advisor.
And finally, we thank all our crowd-funders who bought shares! We couldn’t have done it without you. Every share we sold took us one small step in the right direction.
Equity shares in the LLC are still available. Find out more on the get involved page. Shares are $100, represent 0.1% of the company, and will be repurchased over five years while you continue to get your share of the net profits every year until we’ve purchased them all back.
My lease is signed, and 17 1/2 Main Street is waiting patiently for me to turn it into a tasty, healthy dynamo of a little kitchen. To do that, I’ll need a bank loan, and to get that, I need an impressive show of support. From Friends, Family, Sustainable Food Enthusiasts, Upstate Small Business Investors, and of course, the many that want to see our dear Cherry Valley flourish.
The bottom line is this: When I open, I will give this kitchen all I have: my heart and soul, blood, sweat and tears, and time and energy. The copious amount of encouraging words I’ve received has been overwhelming, but what I need from each of you now is another cliche altogether: put your money where your mouth is.
If you can’t afford a whole share, go in on one with somebody. That’s only fifty bucks: one for every year of my life that has led me to this very point. Please, I am raring to go. Literally: Good To Go. Help me get started: stomachs, palates, lives, minds, farms, the economy, the state, karma, earth…all these things will improve with this venture. Get excited with me.
Real food, really easy: an affordable, healthy, organic, and local food takeout restaurant created by Robin Supak in Cherry Valley, NY (between Cooperstown and Sharon Springs). Open from noon to 7pm, with some exceptions. Closed Wednesday and Thursday. Check this site for updates.
