The Grass-fed New York Cheese Steak is Back

Our very popular grass-fed New York cheese steak is back on the takeout menu, just in time for leaf season here in the Central Leatherstocking region of upstate NY.

Organic, grass-fed, top round beef roast from Nectar Hills Farm in Schenevus, NY, w/local peppers, organic onions, New York extra sharp cheddar cheese, on a Heidelberg baguette.

Good to Go is open noon to 6pm; closed Wednesdays. Ask for complimentary sprouts! Brown basmati rice may substitute for bread. Our menu changes regularly, so check this site often for the most up-to-date information. Our food is made to order so you may have a short wait. You may order by phone and then pick up.

Eggs Benedict for a Short Sunday

Good to Go is doing Eggs Benedict only today, Sunday, September 25.

We will be open shorter hours than usual today–from noon to 3pm, September 25. We’re offering, for the first time, one menu item only: Robin’s famous Eggs Benedict, on organic English muffins, with organic Amish eggs, organic veggies, Black Forest turkey ham, and, of course, Hollandaise sauce. All drinks, including smoothies and milkshakes, are still available, but the only food item on the menu will be the Eggs Benedict.

We will return to our regular noon to 6pm hours on Monday, September 26th, with our currently posted takeout menu.

We will be taking an extra day off this week by closing on Tuesday, September 27th, in addition to Wednesday, September 28th. We will go back to our regular takeout menu on Thursday, September 29th.

Meatball Subs for Hungry Kite Fliers

Our meatball sub is back on the takeout menu for the hungry kite fliers enjoying the Cherry Valley Kite Festival!

The Good to Go Meatball Sub 
Organic, grass-fed, Nectar Hills Farm beef meatballs, house marinara made with certified bio-dynamic tomatoes from Nectar Hills Farm, on a Heidelberg baguette (choice of cracked wheat or plain), with Parmesan and Pecorino Romano cheese.

We will be closed on Tuesday, September 27th. We will be back to our regular schedule (noon to 6pm every day but Wednesdays) starting Thursday, September 29th.

 

Local Grass-fed Beef Osso Buco

New to the takeout menu today after three days in the making we have local, grass-fed beef osso buco! Osso buco is a Milanese recipe made from cross-cut beef shanks, braised with local and organic vegetables, white wine, and broth. It’s garnished with a gremolata made with local parsley and garlic. It’s served on risotto or pastina.

We’re staying open an extra hour tonight (Fri, 9-16) and tomorrow (Sat, 9-17), until 7 pm.

Meatless Monday: Eggplant Parmesan is Good to Go

Thanks to a fresh batch of fresh, local eggplant that walked into Good to Go, we have eggplant Parmesan back on the takeout menu for meatless Monday.

Local Eggplant Parmesan is breaded with Heidelberg bread crumbs, topped w/ Galbani mozzarella, Parmesan, and house marinara (made with local tomatoes and local garlic).

This delicious dish is popular with vegetarians and makes a great choice for people trying to cut back on the amount of meat in their diet by observing meatless Mondays.

Good to Go Takeout: Pepper Pot and Pasta Salad

The Pepper Pot is new to the Good to Go Takeout Menu this weekend!

Our pepper pot is  mixed local peppers and organic NY onions on organic, roasted potatoes (red, yellow, and purple), with grass-fed chorizo or extra veggies, topped with local sour cream and dill.

Optional musical accompaniment for your meal: Pepper Pot by Jazz Saxophonist Art Pepper.

Back on the menu due to popular demand and high temperatures, we have the cold Pasta Salad which is organic veggie pasta w/ local and organic vegetables, Parmesan & Pecorino Romano cheese,
and a creamy, organic apple-cider vinaigrette dressing.

We also have a fresh batch of nice, cool gazpacho featuring local cucumbers, tomatoes, and other local and organic vegetables.

Open 2pm to 8pm Labor Day with Grass-fed Patty Melts

Good to Go will be open later than usual for Labor Day (in order for us to attend a memorial). We’ll be open from 2pm to 8pm.

New on the menu for Labor Day, we have a Grass-fed Patty Melt: an organic, grass-fed, ground beef patty from Nectar Hills Farm; caramelized, organic onions; locally made Palatine Swiss Cheese; fresh, organic home-made mustard; on Heidelberg Jewish Rye bread; with a side of cole slaw.
